I've been watching the TOA anime (much better than the rest of the series) and I guess that inspired that dream.
It was an AU starting from when the God-Generals first capture the Tartarus, just after Jade arrests Tear and Luke. Natalia and Guy were already with them. After Jade disables the Tartarus, he, Luke, Anise and Tear escape, but Natalia, Ion and Guy remain captive.
The God-Generals then play an elaborate shell game with the free cast to prevent them from rescuing Ion and company, using Sync and Arietta as decoys. (Arietta knew that both Sync and Ion were actually replicas, not the real thing.) Asch and Largo act as their jailers on the Tartarus, going around opening the Daathic seals. The three are hindered from escaping, first because Ion is kept exhausted by using the Daathic artes and second because Guy was badly injured in the initial fight to escape. Theoretically, if all three were in good condition, they might have made it out, but as Guy recovers, Ion's condition gets worse.
This went on until Azkeriuth. Van takes Ion to the mine (this is the first time Natalia and Guy see him), and Largo goes off with Legretta somewhere. Guy and Natalia try to fight Asch, but in the middle of the fight the land falls, forcing them to stop and rescue the other party members (Tear, Jade, Luke and Anise. Van used the second griffon to get Ion away.) That's when I woke up.

I need to get back to work. Post more later.

Last night I was reading this.
For some reason I started dreaming about it. Except at the end it changed a bit. Renji stayed behind with Hinamori. Ukitate, Matsumoto and all of Division 11 managed to escape to Urahara's shop. I think Urahara distracted them by telling them about the Vaizards, so they weren't there during the invasion and survived.
Orihime was the one who broke the hypnosis on Ichigo, Uryuu and Rukia and escaped with them.
Byakuya went insane, so when Ichigo and Uryuu released him, he went on a killing spree of the Arrancar.
Oddly, that last bit was the one I remember most. He started by killing Noitora and Hallibel, then animated their corpses by having Senbonzakura enter their bodies and manipulate them like puppets. He killed Grantz, Ulquiorra and Yami with Noitora and Hallibel. Then Ichigo and Uryuu dragged him back with them to Karakura. And Byakuya was declared leader of the resistance because he scared everyone else.

The Seven Moons (from Loveless) had created a type of artificial life form, named 'Paeospodium'. They looked a bit like a Wraith from 'Stargate Atlantis': pale, thin, tall, with huge, grey eyes and short, curly, white hair and dark lines all over it's face. They eat like Wraiths too, or like Pod people, extending tendrils into their victims then draining them. They have very short lives, when they are about to die, they grow smaller tentacles all over themselves (like potatoes) then explode; the explosion spreads spores all over the place, where the spores hit dirt, new Paeospodium grow.
Sakura(from Naruto) is locked in a cell( white, with grey carpeting, florescent lighting and bars) apparently having been captured by the Seven Moons, waiting to get eaten. A Paeospodium comes in, she spends a lot of time screaming at it(this one has apparently eaten other members of the Naruto crew, she definitely accuses it of eating Team Gai). He doesn't eat her immediately, instead he questions her about why she is so upset. They get to talking, about the people he's eaten and how she misses them and how she misses Konoha. The Paeospodium apparently falls in love with her, and agrees to help her escape. Unfortunately the Seven Moons finds out almost immediately and start sending other Paeospodium to stop them.
(At this point the dream cut away to lots of scenes of Nagisa, Ritsu and Nana watching monitors, ordering Paeospodium, and generally acting like they did when Seimei was invading.)
Sakura's Paeospodium does most of the fighting, generally by eating the other Paeospodium. Unfortunately, that meant that by the time they got out of the compound, he was starting to get old. He gets Sakura out, but he's starting to grow tentacles all over himself, having a hard time keeping upright, and hallucinate.
Final thoughts of Sakura's Paespodium: "We made it. We're out. Sakura will be safe now. Maybe she will take me with her. I'd like to see Konoha. I'd like to meet Naruto, Kakashi and Sasuke. I want to see all these people who make Sakura happy. I want to be with Sakura forever."
And then he exploded. And I woke up.
For some reason this dream made me really sad. I don't think I want to go back to sleep right now.

And I'm going to an interview tomorrow. Why am I awake?
Neat thing I discovered. If you have lots and lots of identical forms to fill out and you're worried about mixing things up, start doing them backwards. You pay much more attention that way.
Weird dream. Something about how the Apocalypse would come after every possible permutation of a chess game had been played. Seto Kaiba was some sort of acolyte or priest in a cult and he was in charge of enacting out the chess games. And God was Mokuba Kaiba. I don't remember anything else.
I think it's based off a book. As I recall, the summary was something about a group of people who were listing all possible names of God to bring about the Second Coming. They started with AAAAAA and went through all six letter combinations until they got to ZZZZZZ. I don't know why that would inspire my dream though, because I never actually read the book. I just read the summary, decided I was in the mood for fantasy instead and put it back on the library shelf. And that was several years ago, before I even went to college. It's amazing the junk that gets stuck in your brain.
Why don't I have dreams about myself anymore? I don't think I've dreamed about myself since I was in middle school. Sometimes I'm riding along in someone else's head, sometimes I'm just an impartial observer, but I'm never ME.
Do I dream in senses? I know I dream in color, but no sound. I think I can feel things though, but do I smell them or taste them?
